42 Kurdish rebels reportedly killed by Turkish forces![]() December 12, 2012 - 16:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Some 42 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have been killed in operations in Turkey’s eastern province of Hakkari’s Şemdinli district, Hurriyet Daily News reported citing private broadcaster Kanal D. The Turkish Armed Forces started the operations in the area following a tip on a possible attack the PKK was planning to launch on a Şemdinli police station. Nearly 90 militants were approaching the station when Turkish Armed Forces intervened, killing 42 of the fighters. Two more militants surrendered to the security forces. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
