Armenia, EU to ink visa facilitation agreement Dec 17

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with his Polish, Swedish and Bulgarian counterparts, Radosław Sikorski, Carl Bildt and Nikolay Mladenov in Yerevan.

The meeting focused on regional and international issues, as well as Eastern Partnership summit slated for November 13, 2013 in Vilnius. The Armenian official further briefed his counterparts on recent developments in Karabakh conflict settlement.

As Mr. Nalbandian stated after the meeting, Armenia hails partnership with Poland, Sweden and Bulgaria in bilateral, as well as Eastern Partnership format.

“With Association Agreement talks to be soon finalized, an agreement is expected to be inked, to open vaster possibilities to Armenian citizens,” he said.

As Mr. Sikorski, in turn, noted, the Foreign Ministers’ visit signals their readiness to assist Armenia on the way to EU accession. According to the Minister, Armenia and EU will sign a visa facilitation agreement on Monday, December 17 in Brussels.
