2 killed, 20 injured as bomb attack targets Iranian bus in Iraq

PanARMENIAN.Net - Two Iranian pilgrims were killed in a bomb attack on an Iranian bus near the holy Iraqi City of Samarra, Fars news agency reported citing Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

The bus was carrying pilgrims from the Northern Iranian province of Mazandaran to Samarra, 110 kilometers north of Baghdad.

Head of the Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Holy Cities Affairs Massoud Akhavan told FNA that the explosion has claimed the lives of at least two Iranian pilgrims and wounded 20 others, two of them being in critical conditions.

He said pilgrims are now receiving treatment in a hospital in the Iraqi city of Kadhimiyah.
