Armenia, EU to hold 5 rounds of free trade deal talks in 2013

PanARMENIAN.Net - The markets of EU and CIS, providing about 85% of trade in Armnia, will become available for local manufacturers in the years to come, Economy Minister said.

As Tigran Davtyan reminded in this context, in 2012, Armenia held 3 rounds of free trade agreement negotiations with the Eum with 5 more expected in 2013.

The resolution on the lauch of EU-Armenia negotiations on deep and comprehensive free trade area agreement was adoptd on February 29, 2012. The agreement will enable Armenia to diversify its export structute and gain favorable conditions for entering European market. The negotiations will be finalized in December 2013.

The PM said the impact of the agreement on ordinary consumers will be announced once relevant authorities consider the issue.
Azerbaijan is highly dependent on oil revenues and its preliminary 2016 budget indicates reductions in military spending, the report says.
Karen Chshmarityan stressed the importance of developing bilateral ties within the Eurasian Economic Union.
"It remains therefore ideally positioned to be the home base for a global financial institution such as HSBC," the bank said.
