Public figure hails progress in Armenia’s European integration

PanARMENIAN.Net - European integration remains a priority on Armenian foreign policy list, the head of European Integration NGO said.

At a December 27 news conference in Yerevan, Karen Bekaryan hailed the progress in Armenia’s European integration, with Yerevan-EU ties developing in a number of directions.

He specifically noted the signing of visa regime facilitation deal as well as a breakthrough in associated membership and free trade area talks.

Mr. Bekaryan stressed the importance of the partnership between Armenian National Assembly and European Parliament, noting EU’s high assessment of parliament elections in Armenia.

“Institutional ties were also established between Armenia and EU, with 3 Armenian parties having become affiliated with European People's Party,” he concluded.
