In the 2nd round of the tournament, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian tied the game against Magnus Carlsen of Norway. All round 2 games also ended in a draw. After the 2nd round, Aronian has gained 1 point to share 3-12 spots. Pentala Haricrishna (India) and Sergey Karjakin (Russia) have scored 1,5 points each to share 1-2 places.
