Some presidential candidates’ registration applications rejected

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia rejected the applications of citizens Taron Abrahamyan, Mher Hayrapetyan, Narine Mkrtchyan, Pavlik Sargsyan and Ruben Ayvazyan to register as presidential candidates over the non-payment of the nomination deposit.

Mher Hayrapetyan announced a decision to file an application to the Commission, with the CEC head allowing him to take the step following the completion of the meeting.

Narine Mkrtchyan’s authorized representative, in turn, noted that the property qualification stipulated by the nomination deposit grants privileges to the oligarchic system only.
