ANC activists to stage yet another protest

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc activists will stage yet another protest on Jan 18, 2:00, Yerevan time, young ANC activist Sargis Gevorgyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

The demonstrators will demand to stop the political persecution against young ANC activists Tigran Arakelyan, Artak Karapetyan, David Kiramijyan and Sargis Gevorgyan.

“A number of violations of law have been recorded in the investigation of the case, dating back to August 9, 2011. The court ruling and the punishment imposed on the young activists have been the result of discriminatory application of injustice.

We urge the political parties, NGOs, political initiate groups, international organsiations and ordinary citizens to focus their attention on the case,” ANC activists’’ statement reads.
