DFP urges ANC leader to chair political council meetingsJanuary 21, 2013 - 17:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - More than 90 % of the political parties included in the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc approve of the document drafted by Democratic Fatherland Party, aiming to draw the bloc out of crisis, party leader Petros Makeyan said. As he told a press conference, Democratic Fatherland Party came up with a proposal in June, 2012 about the shift of ANC political council leader, with another document submitted in September. “The political council’s decision taken on Jan 13, summaries the whole package,” the party leader said. “The package will ensure our entry to the ANC political council. But before that we will negotiate with our partner parties. Part of the propsoals has been approved, with the 6th point remaining unchanged, however. We haven’t demanded for anybody’s resignation. We just noted that it would be better if Levon Ter-Petrosyan chaired the council meetings,” Mr Makeyan said.
