CIS observer hails conditions for monitoring elections in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Jan 25 with a group of CIS observers, led by Deputy CIS Executive Secretary Vladimir Gorkun.

Minister Nalbandian hailed the CIS observer mission’s activity, expressing gratitude for monitoring electoral processes in Armenia.

Mr Gorkun, in turn, highly assessed the conditions created for observers, noting that about 170 CIS observers will monitor the polls, headed by CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev.

The mission head further briefed on the CIS observer mission working schedule and the principles for making assessments during the elections.
