Acer rolls out Liquid E1 smartphoneJanuary 26, 2013 - 18:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Acer has unveiled its Liquid E1 smartphone, a mid-range device running the Android Jelly Bean operating system, Digital Spy said. The handset features a 4.5-inch display with a 960x540-pixel resolution, and runs off a 1GHz processor backed up by 1GB of RAM. Other specs include 4GB of on-board storage, a 5-megapixel camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing snapper for video conferencing. The Liquid E1 is likely to compete with the LG-built Nexus 4 smartphone as a mid-range offering powered by Jelly Bean. Acer is expected to undercut the Google-branded phone in the pricing stakes but this is yet to be confirmed. Acer refreshed its Liquid smartphone line last summer with the release of the entry-level Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo devices, the latter being a dual-SIM offering. The Liquid E1 smartphone is expected to be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.
