Gallup Organization: 61% voters expected to go to the polls![]() January 29, 2013 - 12:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Gallup Organization has conducted a public opinion poll ahead of Armenian presidential elections, with 1,020 citizens interviewed. According to Gallup representative Rasa Alishauskene, 39% of Armenian respondents said they will go to the polls, 43% said they will “probably vote”. Thus, the number of the voters on the election day is expected to total 61%, + - 3,1%. Following the termination of the candidates’ registration, most of the voters expressed backing for the incumbent president (66 %), with only 10% voicing readiness to vote for Heritage leader Raffi Hovannissian, only 4% for Paruyr Hayrikyan, 1 % for Aram Harutyunyan, Andreas Ghukasyan, Arman Melikyan, Vardan Sedrakyan. 16% of the voters said they were still undecided on the candidate to vote for. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
