Russian analyst predicts escalating tensions in South Caucasus

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Russian political analyst predicted soaring tensions in South Caucasus in view of increasing challenges.

According to Alexander Sobyanin, the recent surge of revolutions and regime changes will have an inevitable impact on the situation in Central Asia and Caucasus.

The expert furter listed conflicts in Karabakh, Abkhasia, South Ossetia, growing political confrontation in Georgia among burning issues.

Sobyanin didn’t rule out a possibility of “Arab Springs” in CIS states, with the level of violence to mach the formers, Novosti Azerbaijan said.
