Cameron Diaz has been rumored to star in the movie, but is not currently attached to the project, Digital Spy reported citing Variety. Melissa Stack's script centers on a woman who realizes that her boyfriend is married. She teams up with his wife to plot revenge on the lothario. Cassavetes is best known as director of The Notebook. His most recent project was Yellow. He is also an actor, and has appeared in The Hangover Part II, Mask and Face/Off. 20th Century Fox has said it hopes to announce the film's leads next week.
