ArmenTel joins TeliaSonera company’s backbone networkFebruary 12, 2013 - 12:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On Feb 5, 2013, ArmenTel CJSC (Beeline trademark) joined TeliaSonera telephone company’s new backbone network. The move will increase ArmenTel company's total international bandwidth frequency by 10%, the company’s press service reported. “The new backbone connection is conditioned by ArmenTel CJSC’s continuous growth of subscriber base and tariff packages. The initiative will boost the access to foreign resources,” public relations department head Anush Beghloyan said. In 2010, ArmenTel became the first operator providing telecommunication services to have joined Europe’s Internet backbone network through Caucasus Cable System.
