ANC to discuss bloc’s new format

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc held a political council meeting on Feb 13, with the bloc’s future plans discussed. A decision was taken to renew the tradition of holding council meetings and discuss the bloc’s future format. 81 people have expressed readiness to join the Armenian National Congress (ANC) party, by signing the initiative.

A statement on formation of ANC party was recently submitted to the Agency of the Public Register of Armenian Ministry of Justice, with ANC leader, the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrossian among those presenting the statement.

Ter-Petrossian earlier noted social-liberalism at the core of the party’s ideology, stipulating for a common liberal economic system and meeting social needs.

“I will be my honor to lead a party and assume responsibilities,” he said.
