Armenian coach to protest IOC decision on wrestlingFebruary 14, 2013 - 22:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Chief coach of Armenia's Greco-Roman wrestling team Levon Julfalakyan will come up with an initiative against the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to drop wrestling from 2020 program. “In a few days Iran will host a World Cup draw, with over 10 countries to participate. I make a unification appeal to the world’s wrestlers, urging them to back the initiative, aiming to address a letter to IOC or stage protest actions,” the coach said, adding that wrestling enjoys great popularity in the world. “The final decision will be taken in September,” Mr Julfalakyan said, voicing hope that the sport will remain in the Olympic program.
