Russian army general staff chief visits Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - On Feb 14, a delegation headed by the chief of the general staff of Russian armed forces, first deputy defense minister, Col. Gen. Valery Gerasimov started a 2-day working visit to Armenia.

Col. Gen. Gerasimov met Feb 15 with his Armenian counterpart Yuri Khachaturov, with regional and international security issues, as well as military and technical cooperation discussed.

He further met with Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, with a visit to Russian military base in Gyumri city planned.
