Baghdad car bomb blasts leave 20 dead

PanARMENIAN.Net - Over 20 people were killed and scores of others were injured after several car bombs exploded in Baghdad and its suburbs, local police reported on Sunday, February 17, according to RIA Novosti.

The attacks mainly targeted outdoor marketplaces in Shiite neighborhoods, the police said.

Three explosions rocked Sadr City targeting civilians in crowded marketplaces and car bombs also went off in Husseiniya, Al Ameen and Kamaliya, security officials said.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bomb attacks.
