50% voters cast ballots in Armenia’s elections as of 5 pm![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - As of 5 pm, 1 259 374 (49,81%) voters cast ballots in the February 18 presidential elections in Armenia. According to a member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Armen Smbatyan, 366 620 (44,45%) voters cast ballots in Yerevan. In Armenia’s provinces, the votes were cast as follows: Aragatsotn - 62 655 (54,82%,) Ararat - 125 195 (58,76%,) Armavir - 101 533 (45,20%,) Gehgarkunik - 107 691 (57,74%,) Lori - 125 923 (52,94%,) Kotayk - 110 153 (47,37%,) Shirak - 111 286 (48,54%,) Syunik – 61 771 (56,27%,) Vayots Dzor - 24 732 (52,35 %,) Tavush - 61 825 (56,99%.) Partner news Members of all parliamentary groups, PM, Energy Minister and the chair of the Public Services Regulatory Commission were invited to participate. Vahan Hovhannisyan voiced hope that the ruling authorities acknowledge the difficulties Armenia currently faces. Prior to the vote, RPA parliamentary group leader Galust Sahakyan announced the party’s decision to vote against the bill.
