Diplomats abroad vote for incumbent president Sargsyan![]() February 18, 2013 - 22:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Central Election Commission of Armenia (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan briefed on the electronic voting results. As a result of calculation of the votes cast by Armenian citizens currently implementing diplomatic mission abroad, the incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan garnered 218 votes, Raffi Hovannisian received 2 votes, Arman Melikyan – 4. No votes went to candidates Hrant Bagratyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Andrias Ghukasyan and Vardan Sedrakyan. Partner news Members of all parliamentary groups, PM, Energy Minister and the chair of the Public Services Regulatory Commission were invited to participate. Vahan Hovhannisyan voiced hope that the ruling authorities acknowledge the difficulties Armenia currently faces. Prior to the vote, RPA parliamentary group leader Galust Sahakyan announced the party’s decision to vote against the bill.
