Sargsyan garners 68,78% of votes, preliminary count says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Central Election Commission has finalized the counting of votes from 75 polling stations.

As of 12am, the chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan garnered 24 028 (68, 78%) votes; Heritage party chairman Raffi Hovannisian got 9 484 (27,15%) votes; former foreign minister of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Arman Melikyan received 67 (0,19%) votes; former prime minister Hrant Bagratyan - 537 (1,54%) votes; National Self-Determination Union party head Paruyr Hayrikyan - 297 (0,85%) votes; Radio Hay director Andrias Ghukasyan 146 (0,42%) votes; literature expert Vardan Sedrakyan – 378 (1,08%) votes.
