Apple to unveil MacBook Air with Retina display - report

PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple's MacBook Air line will be refreshed with Retina display technology in the third quarter of this year, according to a report, Digital Spy said.

Taiwanese newspaper Economic Daily (via AppleInsider) claims to have heard from supply sources that the 11-ich and 13-inch models are next in line for screen enhancements.

The Cupertino firm's patented Retina displays, found in many of its latest mobile products, was integrated into its computing line last year when the MacBook Pro was given a refresh.

Apple cut the price of the 13-inch MacBook with Retina Display, and also boosted the processor speeds across the high-resolution laptop range earlier this month.

Furthermore, the company cut the price of its 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB down to £1,199.

Previous reports suggest that Apple's second-generation iteration of its iPad mini will also come equipped with Retina display tech when it arrives on the market sometime this year.
