Armenian President to visit Austria![]() February 26, 2013 - 13:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Feb 25 with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Michael Spindelegger. According to Spindelegger, serious progress has been reported in Armenian-Austrian relations, particularly following Austrian President Heinz Fischer’s visit to Armenia. Minister Nalbandian thanked the Austrian official for the invitation to visit Vienna, noting that the ministers’ visits and the consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries bear a regular character. The two ministers discussed Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s upcoming visit to Austria. Armenia-EU cooperation in the framework of Eastern Partnership (EaP) project was further discussed, with Minister Nalbandian briefing on Armenia’s efforts aimed at Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. On Feb 25, Minister Nalbandian issued a report on “Armenia’s foreign policy priorities” in Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (DA), with ambassadors and diplomats, representatives of international organizations, leading politicians and media representatives present. The report was preceded by Nalbandian’s meeting with the Director of DA Dr. Hans Winkler, with the expansion of the cooperation between the DA and Diplomatic School of Armenia discussed. The military academy will be named after legendary commanders of Armenian origin Alexander Suvorov and Valerian Mandatov. French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Jacques Faure said the co-chairs are not planning a visit to Nagorno Karabakh.
