Samsung officially announces Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet

PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung has officially announced its quad core-powered Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet at this year's Mobile World Congress, tomshardware.com reports.

The 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixels display delivers a pixel density of 189 ppi, while the device itself is powered by a quad-core 1.6 GHz Exynos 4 ARM Cortex-A9 processor and has 2 GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note 8.0 will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

A rear 5-megapixel camera is joined by a 1.3-megapixel snapper for video chat. Accompanying the cameras are 16/32 GB of storage and a microSD card for memory expansion of up to 64 GB. A 4,600 mAh battery unit is also included.

An advanced S Pen stylus allows users to manage the physical home and back keys without touching them. As well as Dual View multi-window mode, Pop Up Play, Smart Stay and Page Buddy, Samsung integrated Flipboard; it enables users to preview news by hovering over with the stylus.

The global launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is scheduled for 2013's second quarter. Details on pricing have yet to be revealed.
