Shazam reaches 300 million users milestone

PanARMENIAN.Net - Shazam has revealed that it has reached the milestone of 300 million users.

As Digital Spy revealed, the media tagging service announced that it is working on new native apps for Android and iPad tablets to celebrate the achievement.

Shazam is primarily used to identify music and television shows, but the new application will include expanded social and mapping features.

The overhauled service will be better integrated with social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+, and show users which songs and TV shows are being tagged the most around the world.

Free subscribers will also see benefits when the new apps go live, with faster tagging and an improved home screen among the features promised.

Shazam has not set a specific release date for the new apps, but has promised to deliver them "in the coming weeks".
