Armenian kidnapped on Syria-Lebanon road

PanARMENIAN.Net - An Armenian has been abducted on Syria-Lebanon road, Aleppo's Armenian Prelacy spokesperson said.

As Jirair Reisian told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Nazaret Sabunjian, born in 1961, was kidnapped on the road to Beirut, with no details of the incident specified.

According to Reisian, 85-88 Aleppo-based Armenians were kidnapped over the past two years, with 6 of them still held captive.

“The number of Armenians wounded and killed in Aleppo clashes totals 86 and 40 respectively. Servicemen Khazhak Abelian and Ghazar Karapetyan are lost without a trace,” he said.

As Mr Reisian further noted, the situation in Armenian-populated districts has recently been calm, with no incidents reported, despite the shelling in suburbs.
