“Tomb Raider” reboot film to feature younger Lara Croft

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Tomb Raider reboot film will star a younger Lara Croft.

GK Films and Crystal Dynamics' movie will centre around the video game character's early years as an adventurer, Digital Spy reported citing Variety.

"They are working from this new take that we've given them," Crystal Dynamics head Darrell Gallagher said of GK Films. "It's a good partnership. We're seeing the challenges through the same lens.

"It was important for both of us to have a cohesive version of the franchise. We didn't want to see a film version that was a continuation of the old Tomb Raider films."

Producer Graham King previously said that the film would be an origin tale for the action heroine.

The previous two films starred Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft.
