8th Armenian Music Awards due April 20

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow will host the 8th Armenian Music Awards on April 20.

The ceremony featured performances by famous cultural workers and show business representatives in the past years, with legendary French actor Alain Delon, American singer Cher, renowned Armenian musician and composer Djivan Gasparyan, singer Tata Simonyan, Sirusho, Russian singer Iosif Kobzon and Spanish singer Julio Iglesias among them.

Four artists are brought together in the exhibition “1915” to express the contemporary vantage point of their heritage.
The production, led by Hasmik Papian and Shoushik Barsoumian will be staged at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena.
The awards will be handed out by Canada's Governor General David Johnston at a special ceremony in Ottawa's Rideau Hall.
The autumnal scene was painted in 1888 during a two-month period when van Gogh and Gauguin worked together in Arles.
