Melissa McCarthy to join Bill Murray’s “St Vincent de Van Nuys”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Melissa McCarthy is in line to join St Vincent de Van Nuys.

The Bridesmaids actress will soon be offered the lead role in the Ted Melfi written and directed comedy drama, Digital Reported citing Deadline.

Bill Murray has already been cast as a disagreeable retiree who only finds delight in gambling, drinking and soliciting for sex.

McCarthy would take on the role of his neighbour, whose 12-year-old son finds an unlikely mentor in the bitter man.

The actress has reportedly campaigned extensively for the part.

She was most recently seen in Identity Thief, and will next appear in The Hangover Part III and alongside Sandra Bullock in The Heat.

St Vincent de Van Nuys will begin shooting in July.
