CEC head says ex-candidate Hovannisian’s appeal unfounded![]() March 13, 2013 - 19:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia Tigran Mukuchyan has described Heritage party leader, former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian’s appeal as unfounded. “The appeal lacked proofs, while the documents attached only created the illusion of proofs. There were DVDs with videos related to certain incidents recorded in limited number of polling stations,” CEC head said, dubbing the appeal as a mere analysis, rather than a document with facts. “The appeal revealed ignorance of the constitutional right and the electoral code,” Mr Mukuchyan said, noting the final decision on voting results as legitimate and urging the Constitutional Court to reject the appeals. Partner news A special sitting of the National Assembly launched on Monday, June 17, with 104 parliamentarians participating. “I’m good at what I’m doing – implementing educational and charity projects,” he said in an interview with Ksenia Sobchak. RPA parliamentary group leader Galust Sahakyan said the latest National Assembly session featured both show and populism.
