Vahagn Khachatryan to run for Yerevan mayor?March 19, 2013 - 12:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The representatives of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc have not announced yet who will top the bloc’ list during Yerevan City Council elections. ANC headquarters representative, economist Vahagn Khachatryan, who was Yerevan Mayor from 1992-1996, is rumored to top the bloc’s list during the upcoming polls. In conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Mr Khachatryan neither confirmed, nor denied the information, saying “no final decision was taken.” According to Chorrord Ishkhanutyun daily, ANC member Zoya Tadevosyan comes 2nd in the bloc’s list, with the spokesman of the congress Arman Musinyan placed 3rd.
