"Arrow" star Stephen Amell in talks for "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie

PanARMENIAN.Net - Stephen Amell has confirmed that he has been in talks about appearing in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie, Digital Spy said.

The Arrow star explained that he has had a meeting about taking on the lead role of Christian Grey in the film, which will be based on the erotic novel by EL James.

Speaking in a video posted on his Facebook page, Amell said: "I get questions about Christian Grey all the time. That project is a long way off. I know this, because I had a meeting about it."

Amell then went on to tease his fans, saying: "A long way off. I mean, not that long, but not close. I wouldn't call it long, but I wouldn't call it close."

Speculation about who could play Christian Grey has been circulating ever since a movie adaptation was announced, with stars such as Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder and Jake Gyllenhaal among the rumoured candidates.

Meanwhile, Emma Watson recently denied rumours that she had landed the female lead of Ana Steele after a leaked casting document appeared to suggest she had joined the project.

Last month, James claimed that no decisions had been made yet about who would star in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
