In its address, the Union urged for recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Recalling the atrocities perpetrated to exterminate millions of people for political motives, as well as a number of nations who already recognized the crime against humanity, the Union urged the government of Israel, a country whose people have been through the Holocaust, to disallow impunity for Genocide orchestrators.
