Hillary Clinton to release memoir covering Bin Laden death, Arab Spring

PanARMENIAN.Net - Hillary Clinton will release a new memoir next year recounting her days as Secretary of State that will include her take on Osama bin Laden's death and the Arab Spring, Simon & Schuster said, according to TheWrap.

The Foggy Bottom tome will focus on Clinton's ideas about how the United States can meet the challenges of a globalized society, as well as provide details about her roles in key foreign policy events. She will address the overthrow of the Qaddafi regime in Libya, as well as the frosty relationship between the United States and Iran.

The book's impending publication will do nothing to quell speculation that Clinton is positioning herself for a presidential run in 2016.

“Hillary Clinton has redefined the meaning of ‘trailblazer’ in every phase of her career on the world stage, as First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State, and notably, as an author,” said Carolyn Reidy, president and chief executive officer of Simon & Schuster, in a statement. “She is widely admired by her peers in the highest levels of government in both the United States and internationally, and has become a role model for millions."

Financial terms for the deal were not disclosed, though Clinton scored an $8 million payday from Simon & Schuster for her previous memoir, "Living History." Washington attorney Robert Barnett, who handled her deal on that book, oversaw negotiations for her State Department memoir as well.
