Bucharest Mayor hopes for development of ties with Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met on April 10 with Bucharest Mayor Sorin Mircea Oprescu.

President Sargsyan thanked Mayor Oprescu for friendly attitude towards the Armenian community. The Romanian politician, in turn, pledged to take steps aimed at deepening cooperation between Yerevan and Bucharest, promotion if Romanian investments in the Armenian capital and implementation of joint projects.

He further voiced hope that the memorandum of intent signed between Yerevan and Bucharest will contribute to the development of relations between the two cities, presidential press service reported.
