Nokia posts €150mln loss in Q1 2013April 18, 2013 - 14:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Finnish mobile phone-maker Nokia has announced a loss of €150 million (roughly $196 million) for its first quarter 2013 results, which saw €5.8 billion ($7.6 billion) in sales, The Next Web reported. Sales of the company’s flagship Lumia range increased by 27 percent on the previous quarter, with 5.6 million units sold which the company says is “reflecting increasing momentum”. Overall device volumes were down 30 percent on Q4 2012, with 55.8 million units shipped. While the losses were an improvement, the company missed analyst expectations of $8.65 billion in revenues and $0.05 EPS. Nokia’s total smartphone volumes in Q4 2012 were 15.9 million units – 9.3 million Asha full-touch ‘smartphones’, 4.4 million Lumia smartphones and 2.2 million Symbian smartphones.
