Armenian Foreign Minister visits State Duma![]() April 26, 2013 - 20:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 25, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian visited State Duma, as part of his official visit to Moscow. He held meetings with First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Ivan Melnikov and MPs, included in the Russian delegations to international organizations. Cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries was in the focus of the discussion, with Minister Nalbandian presenting on the future steps aimed at the development of bilateral relations, and the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy agenda. He later met with Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Ilyas Umakhanov, with cooperation in the framework of parliamentary assemblies of the two countries discussed. Meetings with Armenian community representatives and Union of Armenians of Russia were further on Minister Nalbandian’s agenda. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
