“Prometheus” star Michael Fassbender to topline new “Macbeth”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Michael Fassbender will star in a new version of Macbeth.

As Digital Spy revealed citing Screen Daily, Fassbender will play the lead role of a Scottish nobleman whose life is destroyed after he assassinates the king.

Snowtown director Justin Kurzel will helm the new adaptation of Shakespeare's tragedy, which will reunite Fassbender with Shame and Hunger producers Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.

The script was written by Todd Louiso and Jacob Koskoff, and is described as a "visceral" interpretation of the story.

Casting is currently underway for the role of Lady Macbeth, the hero's manipulative and ambitious wife.
