RPA representative says Armenia in need of opposition

PanARMENIAN.Net - The leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group Galust Sahakyan has forecast changes in the new government composition.

Dwelling on the economic and social issues, he slammed the large emigration flows of 1994.

“800 000 people left Armenia in 1990s. The country does not face such tough times nowadays. Measures are taken to solve the existing problems,” the ruling party member said, adding that Armenia is need of an opposition.

As for the formation of a possible coalition, Mr. Sahakyan noted it common for some political forces to leave the coalition before the elections and further make attempts to reach agreements with the ruling authorities.
