Swiss govt. allocates $8 mln for Armenia’s rural development

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with Switzerland’s outgoing ambassador Konstantin Obolensky. Prime Minister Sargsyan highly assessed the diplomat’s contribution to the development of Armenian-Swiss relations.

The two men attached importance to the implementation of assistance programs targeting development of rural communities and livestock in Armenia’s Syunik province. In this context, the envoy noted that the Swiss government allocated USD 8 mln in 2013 against 4 million allotted in 2012, RA governmental press service reported.

Ambassador Obolensky attached importance to the strengthening of economic relations, voicing confidence that the newly-established Armenian-Swiss chamber of commerce will boost the trade turnover between the two countries.
