PanARMENIAN.Net - Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is set to star alongside Richard Jenkins, Christina Hendricks and John Turturro in the indie movie "God's Pocket" which will mark the feature directorial debut of "Mad Men" star John Slattery, TheWrap said.

Park Pictures Features is producing the film in partnership with Hoffman's Cooper's Town Productions banner and Slattery's Shoestring Pictures.

Slattery and Alex Metcalf adapted from the novel by award-winning author Pete Dexter.

Set in the gritty blue-collar neighborhood of God’s Pocket, story follows a man stuck with a debt he can't pay, a wife he can't please and a body he can't bury as a local columnist begins sniffing around for the truth.

Sam Bisbee and Jackie Kelman Bisbee are producing with Slattery, Galt Niederhoffer and cinematographer Lance Acord, as well as Hoffman and Emily Ziff of Cooper's Town.

Hoffman recently wrapped "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and Anton Corbijn's "A Most Wanted Man."
