Michelle Yeoh is tapped to reprise her role as the female lead, Yu Shu Lien, AceShowbiz said. Ang Lee who directed the first film will be replaced by "The Matrix" and "Kill Bill" fight choreographer Yuen Wo Ping. He was previously rumored being approached to help choreograph fight scenes as "Freddy vs Jason" director Ronny Yu was in talks to take the helming duty. The screenplay is based on "Iron Knight, Silver Vase", the final book in Wang Du Lu's Crane-Iron Pentalogy on which the first "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" movie was based. It looks like Yeoh will be the only main returning cast as her sidekick, Chow Yun-Fat, in the 2000 flick will not be back. Donnie Yen is tapped to take on the role of the male warrior. He will star as Silent Wolf. No other details including the plot line are available.
