RPA member deems unification of opposition forces possible![]() May 17, 2013 - 16:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The opposition is in search of a new format, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group member said. At a May 17 press conference Khosrov Harutyunyan deemed the unification of opposition forces possible in an attempt to reaffirm its role. Dwelling on Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s statement ruling out the possibility of joining the other opposition forces, the MP said that the party holds its own position on the organization of social life. Caucasus Institute director, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan, in turn, slammed the opposition’s policy during 2013 presidential vote, voicing skepticism over their possible unification. The expert noted Prosperous Armenia as an opposition force that rivals the ruling party. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
