Heritage offer for amendment to Electoral Code rejected

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly rejected Heritage party’s parliamentary group’s offer to make an amendment to the Electoral Code.

The bill was rejected by a vote of 66 to 41 with 1 abstention, with Heritage, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Armenian National Congress (ANC) supporting the motion.

Prior to the vote, parliamentary group leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Galust Sahakyan announced the party’s decision to vote against the bill, with Orinats Yerkir representative Heghine Bisharyan offering to postpone the discussion.

It’s noteworthy that Heritage offered to release the voting lists following the elections.
