Baku opposed to NKR’s participation in Eastern Partnership Forum

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan National Platform issued a statement to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly over participation of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic representatives in the EU Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.

The statement expressed concern that the participation of the representatives of the NGOs from conflicting regions was included on the agenda the Plenary Assembly of Euronest PA due May 27-28, 2013 in Brussels.

“ANP’s position is that the above mentioned NGOs’ participation in the forum is only possible as a part of Azerbaijani delegation. Considering the fact that the philosophy and principles of the Eastern Partnership envisage cooperation with the internationally recognized countries, the organization contradicts its core mission,” APA reported, quoting the statement.
