Parliament meeting on agriculture issues postponed![]() June 4, 2013 - 14:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The joint discussion of the standing committees on agriculture and environment and financial-credit and budgetary affairs has been postponed. Member of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group Levon Khachatryan noted that the discussion will lack effectiveness without the agriculture minister’s presence. Deputy agriculture minister Grigory Baghiyan, in turn, said the minister is at a meeting with a foreign delegation currently on its visit to Armenia. The head of Standing Committees on Agriculture and Environment Stepan Grigoryan said the meeting will be postponed to June 7. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
