Free Democrats leader condemns Goris  shootings

PanARMENIAN.Net - Free Democrats party leader, MP Khachatur Kokobelyan has condemned June 1 incident in Goris.

“I am sorry that the existing problems get such solutions,” he said, describing the incident as a consequence of impunity.

Asked as to Syunik province governor’s decision to temporarily rest his office, the MP said that government was to address the problem. He noted prevention of such cases as the law enforcement bodies’ top task.

A former mayoral candidate Avetik Budagyan, born in1970, was killed in the city of Goris on Saturday, June 1 evening.

Ex-commander of Goris regiment Artak Budaghyan and Nikolay Abrahamyan were taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds.

An investigation is underway.
