According to the head of GDCA Artem Movsisyan, the government won’t be financing local companies or providing them with privileges. The concept envisages for the winning 3 air companies to operate flights in 3 directions: CIS, Europe and Middle East, with the tender winners to be provided 5-year license. As a member of the aviation subcommittee in Armenia’s Public Council Levon Ghazaryan told a June 18 news conference, GDCA must provide a unified strategy for local air companies to enable competition with foreign air carriers.
