Armenian speaker hopes for stronger strategic relations with Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met Tuesday, June 18 with Russian ambassador Ivan Volynkin, who pledged to promote development of bilateral relations during his term in office.

Congratulating the envoy on the appointment and wishing him every success at the post, speaker Abrahamyan voiced hope that Armenian-Russian strategic ties will strengthen in the future.

As to interparliamentary relations, he noted that their high level is ensured by the work of the joint interparliamentary commission.

The two men also dwelled on a number of regional issues.
